"To all at Moroney's Cycles:
My name is John Havenhill, I am Captain with the Alameda County Fire Department; Home of The Oakland A's and those Crazy Guys known as the Raiders.
We rode 3,000 miles from Ca. to New York for the for the 10th Anniversary of 911. There were 200 plus riders just from the West Coast and over 5,000 bikes by the time we had arrived in your beautiful part of NY State. We heard about your shop from the locals, all of them had nice stuff to say about how you treat everyone in the area. A number of my guys went to your shop for many different reason and to a person were treated to the best customer service, regardless of the amount of time and or money spent while at your shop.
Do to a family matter, I had to ship my bike back home.
So instead of riding into NYC to drop off my bike off at a shop selected out of the blue near to the Airports, I called Moroney's, to see if myself and one other rider could leave our bikes at your shop for (several days) until a Shipper could pick them up.
Without hesitation your service department said bring them in and we will keep them safe until then.
And you did, Thank you!
As a 32 year veteran of the Fire Service, I know a great deal about customer service and treating others with respect,
your shop and all those whom work there do too!

"I recently ended up with a 1994 Sportster after the death of my Father , the bike needed an inspection took it to Maroney's and talked to Lori in Service , during the inspection it was brought to my attention that the brake light wasnt working when the front brake was applied , she said go to part and see if they have the switch, which they did!!..they replaced the switch and found that there was a wiring issue , Lori asked if I could leave the bike and get a ride and return the next day , well I had no one to pick me up , so Lori asked if I could bring the bike back another time so it could be done..I asked how much do I owe You and she replied there is no charge for it because we didn't find the problem...Now I ask You ?? , How Many Dealers would have said that!!!...Maroney's is Top-Notched in my Book!!...Everyone at Moroney's are not only professional but some of the most friendly people I have ever met...Had to Buy a Maroney's HD Shirt........John"

"I just can't say enough nice things about the staff at Moroney's. My wife and I are from North Carolina and rode up to Maine and the rest of the Northeast states to get out of the summer heat of NC. On the way back home we got a flat tire on I-84 west. My wife picked up her phone and found Moroney's on the yellow pages. We called and talked to Lori, and told her our situation. She ask Sal to come out with a lift truck and pick-up us, the bike and the trailer we were pulling. Sal took us to the shop and Ashton replaced the tire and had us on the road in no time. These people are True Bikers. Not only did they help us out in our time of need, But they didn't even charge me for the pick-up service. Lori, Sal and Ashton are number 1 in my book. "My first exp. was buying a helmet @ Moroneys. The sales woman who helped me was unbelievable. She would not sell me a helmet until SHE was satisfied, she kept going back and forth to the parts room until she found the perfect fitting helmet for me.I only wish I would have gotten her name. My second exp.was I thought my battery had froze this past winter so I had Moroneys check it. He said the battery was fine just charge it.Did that,still no good. Back to Moroneys I went, tested battery again. He said it was fine " I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO SELL YOU A BATTERY. After talking further I mentioned I had an alarm on the bike. "I would like to share my ultimate Harley buying experience. I live in Florida and grew up in Newburgh. I made a deal with Moroney's for a new Harley Street Glide over the phone. I added pipes and some extra's to the deal. I drove up to Newburgh and picked up my new bike with all the extras installed. The entire buying experience was so easy. All the staff at Moroney's treated me like family. My salesman made sure the bike was set up and delivered on time. A special thank you to him for all the things he did to accommodate me. A special thank you to Steve in parts for his patience in guiding me to the correct parts to order. Kevin in finance made signing the papers a breeze. The mechanic did a great job in setting up the bike. The day after I picked up the bike we rode to Lake George for the Americade event. The first 4 days I owned the bike I rode 600 beautiful miles. Mountains and turns are not the everyday experience on the flat, straight roads in Florida. Thanks to everyone who I rode with for their patience and laughs as I fumbled my way to remembering how to ride up a hill and around a turn. I learned about trailer brakes while in Newburgh and appreciate all the help I received along the way. I experienced trailer brake issues again in Virginia on my way home, but was prepared to handle them this time. Thanks to everyone at Moroney's. See you on the road."

"WOW...Can't say enough about this organization. My initial interactions were with Laurie. She graciously helped me with my 10k service appt., and when I had questions about upgrades, Geroge was more than willing and eager to share his expertise with the Master Tuner. Lastly, the part guys, Briece, Steve, along with, the asian awesome tats dude, were knowledgeable and patient with me. The attractive apparel ladies just added the icing on top...lolol.... "I've been a customer at Moroney's for a while now. Have to give a BIG THUMBS UP to the Parts Dept., especially to Steve who has been extremely helpful as well as professional. Thanks also to Jamie, Frankie & Cody for their help when Steve isn't working. They make having a Harley a more pleasurable experience. But I have to admit, there have been some changes at Moroney's that are questionable, like where's Patty in Clothing/Accessories Dept? She was the best and she should be back out on the floor. She's definitely a people person! She always had a smile. And what about the Service Dept? What happened there? I hope who ever's running it now knows what the hell they're doing. The last time I was there, the short woman with long hair behind the Service Counter looked stressed and bothered. Not good for business."

"I'm a female rider 47 got my license last July purchased a Suzuki Intruder used 2002, everything is new on the bike and, I've had 2 bad experiences with Suzuki dealers in the BRONX, SHELBY-CYCLE WORLD BLONDELL AVE, BX, THEY SUCK, my saddlebags were broken from the day I got them a snap that's it a snap and they have been giving me grief since and the hospitality by the new owner Angela is horrible she has no business dealing with people bkus she has no customer service experience and she is a total idiot and her hair looks like a grease pit, putting it nicely, they are a rip off and promise you things and never come thru with the merchandise then charge you an arm and a leg... THEN BAY CYCLES & BAY CYCLES POWDER COATING ON STILLWELL AVE are also a bunch of jerks, I purchased NEW TIRES & BRAKES on 4/23, THE JERKS FORGOT TO PUT AIR IN MY TIRES!!!!!!!!!!! I saw them take my bike off the lift spritz a little air in the front tire then whip it next door to wash it, My bike fell on me due to the fact there was no air in the tires and I got hurt. The Owner Joey swears he put air in the tires and I personally watched him and he did not and when I called him he basically told me to F-myself, On Saturday4/24 took a ride with friends and my bike did not feel right, we went to Moroney's and they would not let me leave the parking lot without checking my bike out and they realized there was only 10lbs of air in each tire, I could have gotten killed. MORONEY'S RULES, they are professional, courteous and a bunch of nice people, they are Harley/Suzuki/Honda dealers and HARLEYRIFIC!!!!!! THEY ARE THE NICEST BUNCH OF POEPLE I HAVE MET SO FAR IN THE INDUSTRY AND DO THE RIGHT THING. I HAVE NO PROBLEM RIDING 100 miles to get my bike serviced and looked at. "I brought my bike from reggie pink's but service it at you shop. The only problem i have is the pipes I purchased. the crome fell of in a few months and when i brought them back the sales department stated HD does not warranty crome. over the past two years they have gotton bad and i need to replace them. at this time i think i am going to have them powder coat.That is my only problem i had with you company

"Majority of customer experience was excellent. Everything would be 5 stars, but unfortunately on the day of pickup I was informed that the keys for the new bike had been lost. A compromise was reached to fill the tank (mostly full) and to have a new set of keys overnighted to pick up the next day, The next day there were still no keys. After some confusion at the parts counter I was told that "Harley" admitted to making the mistake and that the keys may be in either Saturday or Monday. I called back on Saturday and the details again changed saying that "Harley" could not process the order until Monday and there would be no keys until Tuesday. So now I have a new bike at home for 4 1/2 days and I can't lock it, fill the tank with gas, or ride it. I just hope that any future accessory buying experiences aren't as terrible. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with the service and forthcoming of the staff to help and answer questions that I had. There was an issue with the horn not working when I picked up the bike, but that was easily remedied at home after further inspection. (the power lead was disconnected, most likely due to the extremely loud after market air horn) I will return again with questions and for future accessory purchases. I would even recommend them to friends, I just hope that the mix ups I experienced were rare."

"I needed a rear tire, mine was shot. I traveled up to OCC from Reading,Pa, about 170 miles, with a Goldwing group. Upon arriving I found a problem with my rear tire. I was directed to Moroney's. "I was very interested in purchasing a bike from your store on Sunday, however I got there late (150 pm). Bob at this time was Great. I ask him to see the bike outside and he was very pleased to do so. I told him I would contact him on Monday. He said that was his day off and Denise could take care of this.I call her first thing in the morning and made and offer. She said she would get back to me later on in the day. I never heard back so I called her. She said that she forgot and that on Tuesday I would get and answer. Tuesday is over and no reply still. I am very disappointed in the way this was handled. "In May of '08 we went to Moroney's the get a helmet for my wife. The sales person (CR) must have spent an hour with her making sure that it fit just right. I thought that was exceptional. --- I've purchased two tires there - Without an appointment I was in and out the first time in 55 minutes --- the second time in 2 hours but that was with other service also --- Every time we've been to Moroney's, there was always someone to ask if we needed help or at least acknowledge that we walked in the building ----

"Called about Honda parts...put on hold for 5 min. Called back..put on hold again. Tell parts person what I need..didn't listen..had to repeat what I needed. Had attitude like I was a bother. Once was told dealer closes at 1:00. Sent son to pick up brake pads, he arrived at 12:55..metric parts closed but HD open. HD guy says they are all gone over there..can't help you. My customers bike was delayed from delivery for 2 days because of this. Happened once before..they bail out BEFORE closing time. Will admit that most employees are friendly and dealership does many activities to keep interested in motorcycling. They do work hard to stay in the limelight and dyno nights are good fun."

"We heard great reviews about Maroneys from friends and family, basically everyone we know with a bike! So when it came time to buy a bike my husband bought a used Harley from Maroney's. The bike looked great but intstantly there were minor problems, leaking oil, lights not working, ect. They fixed those on the spot and apolopgized for the inconvenience. We took the bike for a ride, and within 50 miles of driving it(THE SAME NIGHT WE BOUGHT IT) the engine blew, lost power, and were stranded on the side of 84. Maroney's was closed so we paid for the tow back to a friends house. Maroneys then towed it from there the next day and took their time in fixing it. They then said that the would deliver it to us the day after it was fixed since we live upstate but that didnt happen. We either had to wait 4 days for delivery or come and pick it up! The only compensation that they offered was gas and toll money, because we demanded it. All I can say is good thing we bought the warranty!"

"In late September 2007 I was hit head-on by a left-turner who told the police he was looking in his rear view mirror as he turned and never saw me. I called Moroney's from the scene of the accident in Westchester County and spoke to Denise . She said just flat-bed the bike up there immediately and tell the driver that Moroney's will take care of the bill. The damage was substantial (new frame and more) but the bike was expertly and expeditiously repaired in time for a few more rides before the onset of winter. Moroney's handled the insurance company and made a bad situation easier to deal with. I bought my Harley Softail Deluxe in Feb. 2006 from Moroney's and I was extremely pleased with the purchase experience but it takes a special dealer to continue to give you that superior level of service that makes Harley ownership a continuing pleasure. Thanks Denise, Buck and everyone else that worked on this repair. "

"I bought my 2008 Ultra Classic Electra Glide two tone, Candy Red and Crimson Sunglow. Bob in Sales was very patient and followed through as promised. Brian in parts was awesome, he offered his suggestions and input when my girl and I ordered the chrome and parts for "pretty girl". Brian and Bob was always happy to assist Karen when she visit Moroneys. We feel like family and I would not go to any other dealership.
I want to thank Bob in Sales for the birthday wishes, smooth sailing and thanks to Brian because my bike looks great chrome and all.
One problem, I wish my bike was cleaned for me before picking it up, and it would be nice is Moroney's took photos of their customers and new bikes when picking up.

"I have been dealing with Jim Moroney's since 1995 with the new purchase of my 1996 Heritage Softail Motorcycle. When I walk into the store there isn't anyone who does'nt say HI and offer to help. I have traded in and bought numerous motorcycles over the last 12 years I know them and Denise in sales is tops ! Fitz being an accomplished motorcycle racer and rider will always take time to give me advice / suggestions on new models or accessories I may look to have.
The service department knows me by first name and Dan, and Buck get me the quickest possible appointments. Mechanic Vern has NEVER missed a beat when it comes to engine upgrades, Big Bore Kits, etc. I am very lucky to have people who work on my bike like it was their own. These are expensive "toys" and they never fail to deliver."
